Directorate: General Education and Training (GET)

The General Education and Training band represents the foundation on which much of our successes rely. This crucial stage of schooling is tasked with enabling competencies in the much discussed Literacy and Numeracy.

The General Education and Training directorate:

• co-ordinates the GET curriculum
• includes the Foundation Phase (FP)
• includes Early Childhood Development (ECD)
• includes the Adult Education & Training sector (AET)
• manages the WCED LitNum strategy
