2013 IT EXPO Congratulations and well done to Parklands College of Education in Parklands for once again organising and hosting a successful IT Expo on Thursday 25th April. Grade 9, 10 and 11 learners from a number of invited schools could participate in the numerous hands-on workshops and presentations. There were many prizes up for grabs with a learner from Esselen Park High School in Worcester laying claim to the main prize of an iPad Mini. Read more about the IT Expo here.

Grade 12 CAPS orientation The Grade 12 CAPS national training programme in which curriculum advisors of all subjects were orientated went offf extremely well. The WCED's CAT curriculum advisors were trained in Centurion during the week of 25th February - 1st March 2013. The programme for the orietation included how CAT teachers can instill the use of correct language in the teaching of the subject. Other foci for the training were:
